Taylor Swift's full name is Taylor Alison Swift. Taylor Swift was born on the 13th, 1989 in West Reading, Pennsylvania U.S.A. Taylor Swift became famous as a singer and songwriter in early 2001 when she began sharing her stories of heartache. Swift began showing an interest in the music industry at a young age. Her career progressed rapidly through the play of kids, through her first public appearance in front of thousands. As Swift sang The Star-Spangled Banner in front of the Philadelphia 76ers at a game at the age of 11. She was already writing songs. In the following year, she began playing guitar. Swift took inspiration from artists in country music such as Shania Twain, the Dixie Chicks and, more recently, the Chicks in order to write original music that expressed the apathy she felt at the age of 13. Swift's family relocated in Tennessee Pennsylvania at the age of 13, so that she could spend more time exploring the country music label in Nashville.
